Luis has completed the ten-year program of music conservatory training in Madrid, Spain, and is working on a Bachelor of Arts at UNC-W.
He has performed at popular Jazz venue Doc’s Lab in San Francisco, Steinway Hall in New York City, and Wilson Center in Wilmington. At UNC-W’s Music department, he is studying piano with Dr. Elizabeth Loparits; Luis has also had the opportunity to work with teachers in New York City and San Francisco.
At UNC-W, Luis has performed on recitals by piano students, several Department of Music Honors Recitals, was three-times awarded the College of Arts and Sciences Dean’s Award for receiving top score in Honors Recital auditions. His very first award at UNC-W was the Mary Eunice Troy Scholarship.
Luis continues to coach students in his home studio, play solo and with other musicians.

On April 3 I will collaborate further with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra as on-stage pianist for theatrical event, Beethoven Lives Upstairs. #KidFriendly
On April 24, Luis will have his own solo concert at Kenan Chapel which will include works by Chopin, Prokofieff, and Florence Price.
